More than 300 guests sampled delicious local foods and wines at Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service’s (VNS) Joyful Tastes of Life fundraiser, Oct. 11 at Todaro’s Party Center. This event featured 20 local restaurants, distributors and wineries.
WQMX Morning Show co-host Sue Wilson and WONE Morning Show co-host Tim Daugherty served as event emcees. Scott Alan provided live guitar music, and a large silent auction capped off the evening. Derrick Sly, of Akron, won a Greenbrier Resort vacation package.
Sponsored by Dr. John J. Petrus and presented by the Akron General Foundation, the event raised more $53,000 for end-of-life patient care and supportive services at Hospice of VNS.
