As a community leader in emergency preparedness and response, the Red Cross is proud to present the Acts of Courage Award to residents of Summit, Portage and Medina Counties who have acted courageously and selflessly in a time of emergency. Because of their heroism, lives were saved and tragedies were averted. Their actions embody the ideals, principles and purpose of the Red Cross: to prepare for and respond to disasters. Each year, the Red Cross bestows the H. Peter Burg Award on its recipient during the Red Cross Acts of Courage Dinner and Presentation. This year's honoree is Leonard Foster.
