Free “Kung Fu Fit” Classes in May at Akron’s Lock 3 and 4:
Four free Kung Fu Fit™ classes, teaching the exercises of Tai Chi “with a kick,” will be held in May in downtown Akron. They will be held at Lock 4 on Saturdays, May 5, 12 and 19, and at Lock 3 on Saturday, May 26. All classes will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Co-sponsored by the City of Akron and NG Energy, the hour-long classes will be led by certified instructor and Akron native Nancy Gardner. Self-defense moves and Qigong breathing also will be taught.
The classes are geared to adults as well as young people mature enough to take
direction. Participants may bring a hiking stick, pair of light weights, towel and/or
mat. Lock 4 and Lock 3 are located at 200 South Main St., Akron, Ohio. For more information, visit www.ngenergy.us, or call 330-945-5533.
