Mercy's Door Pet Rescue Spring Fling Walk
to
Silver Creek Metro Park, Pheasant Run Area 5000 Hametown Road, Norton, Ohio 44203
Come and walk with your dog to help raise funds for the adoptable dogs of Mercy's Door Pet Rescue.
Don't have a dog? No big deal, just let us know and we can have one of our adoptable dogs available for you to walk. Or just walk on your own!
This is a group walk, including friendly dogs, to help replenish Mercy's medical funds so we can continue to save lives. There are a few rules.
We will take a 2 mile easy hike at Silver Creek Metroparks - Pheasant Run Shelter, with an option for a 3rd mile. http://www.summitmetroparks.org/App_Themes/MetroParks/images/media/SilverCreekMetroPark2015b.pdf
1. Dogs must be dog & human friendly. Please do not expect too much from your dogs. Know their limits and if having other dogs and/or people in close proximity is going to be stressful for them or cause them to react negatively, please do not make them participate.
2. No training, choke, or prong collars and no retractable leashes please.
3. No more than 2 dogs per adult handler.
We are suggesting a $10 donation per dog to join us on this group walk. Raffle tickets for basket full of dog friendly hiking will be available for $1 each, 6 for $5, arm for $10, or wing span for $20. All proceeds will go directly towards the care of our dogs. Mercy's Door is a registered 501(c3) charitable organization - all donations are tax deductible.
We will have merchandise and adoptable dogs on site!!!
Invite your fellow dog loving friends and family, we hope to see many of you there!!
Please keep in mind this is a public area, so there may be joggers/bikers/other people with dogs etc. Know thy dog, and if this is something they would enjoy.
