Mural Reveal Party - Halloween Kick-off!

Join us October 4th from 12pm-3pm for the closing reception of the Masquerade mural project which has been created by Patrick Dougherty and his team of advanced placement art students.

Patrick has over 31 years of teaching experience, with 22 years teaching at Akron Public Schools. His artwork has been on display in other public projects at Firestone Park Library and Children’s Hospital.

Mengyu Yu, originally from Kaifeng, China, is among Patrick’s artistic team cultivating the details for this public art project. Her personal artwork was recently exhibited in Washington DC for the 2014 Congressional Art Competition.

The painting is in progress through the end of September with a grand reveal / closing party open to the public on October 4 from 12pm-3pm. Akron Design & Costume will offer light refreshments and a tour of their costuming facility; just in time for the busy Halloween season.
