Complete with globe lights, orange diner chairs, risograph art prints and birchwood accents, the retro-style Good Golly takes you back. “Our vision for Good Golly was to bring back the ice cream stands I grew up going to as a kid,” says co-owner Josh Roberts of the spot that opened in May. Enjoy elevated takes on nostalgic favorites, like the Golly Dog ($4), an all-beef hot dog on a potato bun, topped with your choice of condiment. Try a Bavarian soft pretzel with cheddar cheese or stadium mustard ($4), or a Golly Softie twist of premium vanilla ice cream and orange sherbet in a cake cone ($3). “The orange sherbet is our very own unique recipe,” Roberts says. Also try its spin on the dirty soda trend. “The space is meant to feel nostalgic, welcome and a place that you just want to keep coming back to,” says Roberts.
