Free Outdoor Movie Night, Featuring the original "The Karate Kid"

Free Akron Outdoor Movies will host its seventh annual movie in historic Glendale Cemetery September 8, the original 1984 classic "The Karate Kid." Gates open and trolleys begin at 6pm and the movie around 8pm.
Moviegoers are encouraged to come early to picnic and support local food vendors, including Stray Dog Cart, The Popcorn Truck, The Square Scullery, Popsmith, and the West Hill CCDC concessions. Sarah Gott will lead a pre-movie children's craft & Ed Cote will be stacking rocks.
Parking and trolley service will run from the parking lot above Glendale at 182 Wills Ave down to the Great Meadow. Additional walk in parking available across West Exchange Street. The Civil War Memorial Chapel will be open prior to the film.
Special thanks to Knight Foundation for the grant to purchase new equipment, including the behemoth inflatable screen that will be used for the first time at this event. Rain date 8/15.
