Giving Tuesday at The Rail

The Rail is taking part in local food banks’ Giving Tuesday fundraising efforts, doubling the donations received on Tuesday, November 27, as part of their month-long holiday promotion.
Throughout the month of November, The Rail is featuring ‘The Giving Back Burger,’ from which $2 for every burger ordered is donated to the food bank. At the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, every $2 donated helps to provide eight meals to neighbors struggling with hunger, so by ordering The Giving Back Burger at The Rail, each guest truly has the power to make a difference in their community this holiday season.
As an additional Giving Tuesday effort, The Rail will be donating $4 from every Giving Back Burger sold on November 27 to the food bank, providing 16 meals to the hungry for every burger ordered on this special day.
The Giving Back Burger is an Ohio beef burger topped with truffle aioli, bacon, a jalapeno cheese crisp, red onion and spinach, served with The Rail’s skinny fries for $13. The Giving Back Burger is available at all five Rail locations, in Akron, Canton, Dublin, North Olmsted and Strongsville, and monetary donations are also accepted. Funds raised at the Akron and Canton locations will benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank; funds raised at the Dublin location will benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank; and funds raised at the North Olmsted and Strongsville locations will benefit the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
In addition, Greg and Kathy Long of Wooster Glass Co. and Dean Olivieri of Fred Olivieri Construction have pledged matching funds to benefit the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank. Sysco is also supporting The Rail’s Giving Back Burger program through product donation for the feature.
