Akron Civic Theatre to host “It’s All About Chocolate” fundraiser

The Akron Civic Theatre will host its first ever chocolate fundraiser, “It’s All About Chocolate” on Monday, May 20 at 6:00pm.

Enjoy an evening of fun and chocolate. Join us as we take you on a tasting of chocolate food samplings, Chocolate Martinis, and more chocolate. This Civic fundraiser is based on the very popular purse swaps, but this is more fun since it involves chocolate.

“Lose a Pound, Gain a Pound” - Everyone will need to bring a one pound box of divine chocolate, in its original package, and then they will be able to swap it out for a pound of chocolates. Attendees will swap in order of ticket color, the sooner you order your ticket the sooner you swap.

Guests will also have the chance to purchase tickets for a Chinese raffle to win "mystery" boxes! Raffle items include a signed cookbook from the Cake Boss, Buddy Valastro, A Barnes and Noble Nook, restaurant gift cards, concert tickets and more!

The Chocolatiers for the event will include, Grabham Chocolates, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Baker Blvd., The Chocolate Garden, Just Cookies, and Shelley Neider with Pampered Chef.

The ticket price is $25 and includes wine, punch, and 5 samplings from the chocolate presenters. If this isn’t enough for you, additional sampling tickets will be available for guests to purchase. Only 100 tickets will be sold to this event and all proceeds will go directly to the Akron Civic Theatre.
