You'll be dancing in the aisles to the music of ABBA, one of the most successful pop-rock groups ever on Oct. 25 when Arrival From Sweden swing into town for the upcoming Pops Series performance with the Akron Symphony Orchestra at the Akron Civic Theatre.

ABBA, Sweden’s largest music sensation, sold over 370 million records between 1971-1982. The Swedish band Arrival From Sweden is consider the very best ABBA show band and have performed to sold-out houses throughout the world. Arrival From Sweden is the only band with exclusive rights (granted by ABBA’s original clothing designer Owe Sandström) to identically create exact versions of ABBA’s original outfits.Hear them and the Akron Symphony bang out smash hits like Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia, Take a Chance on Me, and S.O.S. Since forming in 1995, the tribute band has toured over 35 nations and appeared on several television and radio shows throughout the world.

They have been touring for 12 years all over the world.  Their lineup includes 12 members, two of which are original ABBA members Finn Sjöberg (guitar) and Roger Palm (drums).  They perform everything live and they are so convincing that even die-hard ABBA enthusiasts on Swedish radio believed Arrival’s version of “Dancing Queen” was really ABBA. The band has recently received exclusive permission from ABBA to perform and record the unreleased ABBA song “Just A Notion.”
