Akron Civic Theatre to present MadCap Puppet’s Cinderella Files

The Akron Civic Theatre will present MadCap Puppet’s Cinderella Files on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2:30pm.

Ever wonder what would happen if Cinderella's Fairy Godmother went on vacation? In Madcap's twisted take on the classic fairy tale, it's up to her husband Ralph, the Fairy Godfather, to get Cinderella to the ball. With help from the audience, giant puppets, and the '"big wand", Ralph might have a chance.  In this hilarious production, Madcap also explores Cinderella as it is told by the Scandinavians in Diamonds and Toads, and the Indonesian version, The Crocodile's Baby.

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, MadCap puppets are nationally recognized for engaging and original children’s theatre productions, as well as in-school educational programs that include performances, workshops and residencies. 

The Cinderella Files will be on Sunday, April 7 at 2:30pm. Doors will open at 1:30pm. Ticket prices for adults are $8 in advance and $10 day of show. Children ages 3 – 12 yrs of age are $5 and children 2 yrs and younger are admitted for free.
