Magical Theatre to present The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

Magical Theatre Company , Northeast Ohio’s professional resident and touring theatre for young audiences and families, will present The Boy in the Striped Pajamas January 25 - 27.

Based on the book by John Boyne, this is the story of two boys who are on opposite sides of the fence of a concentration camp in 194 3 Poland. One is the son of a German soldier, the other a Jewish prisoner. An unlikely friendship develops, even though neither understands the circumstances in which the other lives. Their friendship results in unintended consequences.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is directed by Dennis O’Connell, and features professional actors Adam Hoffman of Stow, Deb Lemire, Eric Lualdi and Marci Paolucci of Cuyahoga Falls, Laura Rauh of Akron, Michael Sonata of Canton and Robert M. Keith of Clinton, as well as a talented trio of young actors including Matthew Taylor and Zachary Charlick of North Canton, and Grace Godard of Richfield. Taylor and Charlick happen to be friends in real life, attending Strausser Elementary in Jackson Township.

The Boy in the Striped Pajamas runs January 25-27 and is suggested for families ages 12 and up. Public Performances are Friday, January 25 @ 7:30pm, Saturday, January 26 @ 7:30pm, and Sunday @ 2:00pm. Tickets are $11 & $13 per person. Opening Night (January 25 th ) tickets are $13.00 & $15.00 per person and include a post-performance reception and talk-back with the actors and director.
