2015 Akron 34th Annual St Patrick’s Parade, Saturday at noon, starting at Cedar Street. Watch the Akron Celtic Guard Hurling Club in the 34th Annual St. Patrick’s Parade down Main Street ending at Bowery Street with floats, Irish dancers, honor guard, drill & teams. Organized by the Mark Heffernan Division and the Margaret Judge Ladies Division of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH).

Begin Parade Day with pancake breakfast at the Mark Heffernan Division, at the Ancient Order of Hiberians’ Club Room on Brown Street with a family party after the Parade. Don’t forget the AOH Club Party Monday, the 17th, from 6-8 p.m.

Come to Old 97 Café in Kenmore to enjoy traditional Irish fare and see the Akron Ceili Band perform between 7:30 and 9:30. The Akron Ceili Band will also perform that morning, 9-noon at the Countryside Winter Farmers' Market on Ira Road.

The Shamrock 5k and 15K Races are coming this Sunday. This year's races again features a great long sleeve tech shirt for the 15K runners and a short sleeve tech shirt for the 5K. Pick up a packet at Ritchie’s Sporting Goods in Tallmadge on Saturday from 10am-3pm or Day of Race at Woodridge HS from 10:30 - 11:45 am., the location of the race. The 15K Starts at Noon and the 5K starts at 12:05.

One week from tomorrow, on March 21, don’t miss the Hartville St. Patrick’s Day Trail Run-A trail race for all abilities. Runners and walkers are welcome. Come out and enjoy a 3.1 mile loop course through the beautiful trails in Quail Hollow State Park. Sign the kids up for the 1 mile Fun Run.

A St. Patrick’s concert for Open M featuring the Mickeys, the Twanglers & The Help and The Hand, Saturday at 8 p.m. Come get “sham-rocked” this St. Patrick's Day to help christen Musica's brand new bar with live local music. Anyone who works at night can come have fun during the day with a lunchtime happy hour, food, games & more. Endless libations at the bar! Food from Urban Eats all day.

Speaking of the Mickeys, celebrate with them tonight at Jilly’s Music Room starting at 7:30 p.m.  Jilly’s is located in Downtown Akron’s Northside District.

Sully’s Irish Pub from Irish beers and liquors to traditional Irish food and, of course, Irish music & live events makes Sully’s your favorite place to stop.

The Wee Ones’ St. Patrick's Day Celebration at Sully’s is Sunday, 1-4 p.m. which includes tableside magic from the Famous Paul Gallagher from 1-3pm, Balloon Creations by Ricky from 2-4pm, and raffle baskets from local kid-friendly businesses to raise money for the Trinity Rose Foundation, plus many more exciting treats such as a bagpiper & maybe even a leprechaun

Sunday, 2-3 p.m.  At the Hudson Library & Historical Society St. Patrick’s Day Concert, get into the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day with Musicali, who will perform a wide selection of traditional Irish music, from lyrical songs to jigs and reels. The concert will include such favorites as “Danny Boy”, “The Irish Washerwoman”, “Swallowtail Jig”, and “Si Bheag, Si Mhor”. Musicali's four musicians will feature voice, violin, oboe, French horn, recorder, guitar and keyboard.

Saturday at Legends in Green, St. Patrick's Day, pre-party with The Shaffer Brothers and featured appearance by The Macconmara Irish Dancers. Enjoy green beer, Guinness draft, corned beef platters, corned beef reubens and reuben burgers
