Stan Hywet Gala 17th Annual Midsummer Night’s Celebration

Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens was the perfect backdrop for its 17th annual Midsummer Night’s Celebration, “A Gilded Evening,” on June 22. Greeted by warm breezes and event chairs Chris and Rich Kramer, 600 eager guests came together in celebratory fashion to raise more than $140,000. Proceeds from this gala help to preserve the Estate and ensure operational funds to fulfill the mission of “sharing our legacy to enrich lives.”

The formal evening represented all the finer things of a bygone day: a private butler, car “carriage” service, pre-dinner cocktails in the lush gardens, elegantly designed tableware and floral arrangements, a rich and stylish meal, live musical entertainment by The Jerry Bruno Orchestra and dancing in the moonlight.

A special highlight of the evening was the live auction of Dinner in the Dining Room of the Manor House. This private dinner for 20, sold for $17,000, will afford the guests of the winning bidder a rare opportunity to revel in the gracious hospitality that was the Seiberling hallmark.
