Small Bite - Pav's Creamery 2015

On our way to check out this year’s July 5th fireworks at Portage Lakes State Park, my family and I stopped at Pav’s on Manchester Road for a sweet treat.

Although everything on the menu looked good, Pav’s newest item caught our eye and tempted our taste buds: a glazed doughnut, dipped in chocolate, divided in half and filled with Pav’s kustard or hard ice cream.

My 6-year-old chose Cookies and Cream ice cream as the filling for his ice cream sandwich, and when the Pav’s employee handed it to him in a plastic container the size of his face, he looked at me with excitement, fear and plain-old “Are you kidding me?” When, after eating a quarter of the treat, my son waved the white flag, my husband saved the day, happily devouring the rest of the dessert.
