Akron’s Award-Winning Breweries

by

Thirsty Dog

This company first opened in 1997 as a brewpub by co-owner John Najeway in Canton. In 2002, Thirsty Dog began work on distribution of its award-winning beer. Pub locations expanded to Montrose and Dayton. A change in partnership and lease issues in Canton led to the closing of the pubs. Thirsty Dog reopened in Akron in 2006 and remains at the same location.
