“A Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop”

-Stone Brewing Company

As the summer sun kicks into full gear, so does the arsenal of craft beer to hit the Northeast Ohio market. Ah, yes – it is a time of reckoning…or shall we say ruination. Thanks in part to the highly acclaimed and beloved Stone Brewing Company, July has been deemed the month of Ruination Nation. Is your palate ready?

Originally released in 2002, Ruination was one of the first double IPAs to be produced and packaged year-round. As a trailblazer in the craft beer world, Stone’s Ruination fills your taste buds with enough citrus and tropical fruit notes combined with an aggressive hop character to last you a lifetime.

But times have changed and so have beer drinker’s tastes. So what was Stone Brewing Company to do, but to make the transition as well? This year brought the passing of the original Ruination and in its place came the equally pleasing Ruination 2.0. The latest evolution of this cherished liquid brings forth even more juicy tropical hop presence while still paying respect to the master craftsmanship that has come before it.

If Ruination 2.0 still doesn’t wreak enough destruction to your palate, worry not, as July also sees the return of Stone’s Ruinten. Clocking in at 10.8 percent and 108 International Bitterness Units, Ruination’s big brother is not for lightweights. Ruinten is a hop bomb waiting to explode. It blasts a dank and piney intensity you will still remember long after your glass is empty.

Both Ruination 2.0 and Ruinten, along with other great beers from Stone Brewing Company, can be found at Giant Eagle, Acme and Fishers Foods locations, as well as your finer craft beer stops such as West Point Market, Mustard Seed, Lizardville and 101 Bottles. Also look for special events at your nearby craft beer friendly watering holes.

So what are you waiting for? Welcome July in fashion with Stone Brewing Company as Ohio celebrates Ruination Nation.
