Fat Head’s Brewery

by

Having endured the Polar Vortexes of Winter 2014, I’m sure you’re ready to relax on your porch and crack open a tasty brew. Local favorite Fat Head’s Brewery has just the answer: Sunshine Daydream, a brand new, year-round session IPA debuting this month.

Fat Head’s roots date back to 1992, when the original Fat Head’s Saloon opened in neighboring Pittsburgh. Fast-forward to 2009: The team partnered with award-winning brewer Matt Cole to bring his talents to North Olmsted, and the Fat Head’s Brewery and Saloon made its mark in Ohio. Three years later, a production facility was built in Middleburg Heights, and the beloved brewery began bottling its fan favorites.

Sunshine Daydream joins the ranks of two other year-round releases: Head Hunter, the brewery’s aggressively-hopped, award-winning India Pale Ale, and Bumbleberry, a blueberry ale that packs a wallop of fruit flavors. This newly bottled IPA resonates with tropical fruit flavors and enough notes of grapefruit and pineapple to please even the extreme hopheads of Northeast Ohio.

The latest release is an easy drinking session beer. Session beers often contain 5 percent alcohol or less, and more than one bottle can be enjoyed in one sitting without worrying about being down for the count.

Look for Sunshine Daydream around town at Giant Eagle, Acme and Buehler’s locations, as well as your finer craft beer stops like West Point Market, Mustard Seed, Lizardville and 101 Bottles. The new brew will also arrive on draft so ask your favorite pub today for a little bit of ‘Sunshine’ to warm up your day.
