Rib, White & Blue returns to Lock 3

Just around the corner once again is Rib, White & Blue, Akron's National Rib Festival.

This highly anticipated summer tradition, sponsored by the City of Akron, features the biggest and most sought after rib vendors vying for cash prizes and bragging rights as they travel from Ohio, Texas, South Carolina, New Jersey and Tennessee.

On stage during the festival will be Bruce in the USA, a tribute to Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band; Elevation, the International U-2 Tribute Show; and The Machine performs Pink Floyd.

For the fourth year, the City of Akron welcomes The Akron Symphony Orchestra for a July 4th pops concert and fireworks finale.

The festival takes place July 3-6 on South Main Street in front Lock 3 in Downtown Akron. Gates open at 11 a.m. and admission is free. For more information, go to akronribfestival.org.
