Akron Life Magazine is currently seeking editorial interns to assist with our print publication. We are looking for energetic, detail-oriented individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in the publishing industry.
The ideal candidate should have an advanced knowledge of grammar, story structure and an eye for detail. We are looking for a student with strong writing, communication and research skills who has experience with magazine writing — preferably with published clips — and is pursuing a career in the publishing field.
Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Word and comfortable speaking with sources of all kinds both over the phone and in person. Job duties include writing feature stories of various lengths, working as a team to develop story ideas, brainstorming and researching ideas thoroughly, proofreading the magazine, fact-checking all information and assisting photographers with photo shoots.

-
A way with words and imagery
-

-
The ability to work well as part of a team, as well as in a deadline-driven environment
