Akron Art Prize

Saturday, September 1 through Saturday, October 6

Akron Art Prize, sponsored by the Margaret Clark Morgan Foundation, kicks off Saturday, September 1 at the Downtown Akron Artwalk. More than 135 artists have entered this unique competition where the public determines the outcome. Voters who visit the venues displaying the entries use text-to-vote technology to cast their votes to decide the winner of the $5,000 first prize and 5 - $1,000 runner up prizes.

The entries will be on display at the following venues:

Akron Art Museum (outdoors) 1 S. High St. (corner High/Market)

Millworks Gallery 106 N. Main St. (Northside)

Redlight Gallery 111 N. Main St. (Northside)

Summit Artspace 140 E. Market St. (corner Market/Summit)

We Gallery 20 N. High St.

Winners will be announced at 10 p.m. at the Saturday, October 6 Akron Artwalk.
