FRESH ART 2014

Regional artists entered their freshest work this season for the 10th Annual FRESH ART exhibition that opens on Friday, March 7th and continues through Saturday, April 19th. Regular gallery hours are Thursday from noon – 9:00 pm in conjunction with the Akron Art Museum and Friday, Saturday noon to 5 pm. A group of 57 works were chosen by juror, Alexandra Nicholis Coon, the Director of the Massillon Museum of Art. Spanning media, matter and unique materials, the artists chose to approach their pieces in a variety of ways from the abstract, ethereal, conceptual and surrealistic. Fresh Art is an annual juried show in which contemporary area artists working are challenged to stretch theby producing new works that reflect novel thinking and unusual materials.
