Akron has a vibrant history with jazz music; a series of jazz clubs populated Howard Street from the 1930s through the 1960s, creating a popular stop for jazz musicians traveling between New York City and Chicago. The evening features a variety of jazz favorites made popular by Louis Armstrong, Tommy Dorsey, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin and Glenn Miller.
