Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) wraps up the 2015 Jazz under the Stars concert series on September 5 with area favorite Bobby Selvaggio and his Jazz Orchestra. One of the leading alto saxophone voices in today's jazz world, musician Kenny Waters describes him as “among the best of players out there” and legendary saxophonist Joe Lovano hails him as “one of the few young saxophonists on the scene today that captures you with his strong presence, focus, and sound.”
Saxophonist extraordinaire, Bobby will capture you with his smooth, effortless and elegant style of jazz. Bobby graduated with a degree in Jazz Performance at The Manhattan School off Music. Along with his 7-recorded CD’s, his book on Jazz improvisation, and multiple music projects, Bobby is the Director of Jazz Studies at Kent State University.
Now in its fifth year, this free summer festival has become one of the preeminent jazz festivals in the region, featuring highly acclaimed musicians and drawing audiences from Ohio and beyond. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and picnics and sit back and enjoy these top-notch concerts.
In the event of rain, the concert will be held at the United Church of Christ, 217 East Liberty Street, Medina. For more information please visit www.ormaco.org or call 330-722-2541
